To our AACE Chicago-Midwest Community,
On Thursday, 14 November 2024, members of the Chicago-Midwest community hosted an inaugural event to kick-off the AACE Student Committee at Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT)! This is a new initiative for our Section to engage with students and aspiring young professionals in project controls and related fields.
It was a terrific event!
The evening consisted of several presentations by AACE Chicago-Midwest board members to introduce AACE International, our local AACE Section, and the value we bring to the industries we serve. The students were engaging during the event, asking insightful questions and describing their career aspirations. They represent the next generation of leaders in our field, and it was an honor for us to participate in their journeys.
On behalf of the Board, we want to thank the students and faculty at IIT for a gracious welcome to their campus. Special thanks to Prof. Lipika Swarup of IIT for sponsoring our participation and coordinating the evening. We look forward to the next one!
