Earned Time Management for Schedule Control

Traditional Earned Value Management (EVM) has significant limitations for schedule control because its schedule measures are cost-based, aggregate, and can lose meaning at project completion. This presentation introduces Earned Time Management (ETM), a fully time-based method that measures schedule performance from the activity level through lags, overlaps, paths, and the critical path. ETM does not require cost or resource loading and can be used with tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. The presentation also demonstrates how ETM forecasts finish dates under different performance assumptions and supports schedule-recovery decisions.
