The Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACE)
Invites you to our October Meeting with Dr. Dan Nussbaum titled “Will We Have Enough Energy? The coming energy buildout.”.
The intersection of energy cost esmang and energy security, prompting key questions: How much energy do we currently use? How much will we need? Where will it come from? What infrastructure must be built—and at what life cycle cost? The inquiry is driven by a sharp and accelerating rise in U.S. electricity demand, marking a dramatic shift from nearly two decades of stagnant load growth. This surge may signal the beginning of the most significant era of expansion since the post–World War II boom. The implications are significant: meeng this rising demand will require thoughtful planning to safeguard both the reliability and affordability of electricity across the nation—challenges that align directly with the expertise and professional focus of AACE members.
