The Decision & Risk Management Subcommittee is holding an event on April 30: Revolutionizing Project Control: Leveraging Control Theory for Integrated Cost, Schedule, and Risk Management.

Integrating advanced control systems, machine learning, and expert domain knowledge offers a transformative approach to project control. This synergy enables the creation and validation of precise and transparent cost estimates, schedules, and risk profiles through sophisticated project modeling. By applying control theory, project activities are treated as dynamic systems, allowing for proactive identification and mitigation of deviations. This methodology extends beyond project control traditional techniques, offering innovative solutions for claims/disruption management and a dynamic representation of CPM via transfer functions. This analytically rigorous framework enhances project predictability, improves decision-making, and ultimately contributes to more successful project outcomes by providing a holistic and quantitative understanding of project dynamics and potential vulnerabilities.

Brahim offers 30+ years of comprehensive project controls experience across global oil & gas, mining, and civil construction sectors, including work in Canada, Malaysia, and the Middle East. His career encompasses diverse responsibilities, complemented by teaching data analytics for project management. Brahim excels at translating deep domain knowledge into innovative solutions, evidenced by AACE International publications. He possesses strong machine-learning skills for enhanced project control, construction management, and risk quantification.
