Steelray Software developed a technology to automate MIP 3.4 from AACE RP 29R-03, Forensic Schedule Analysis. MIP 3.4, known as a half-step delay analysis, answers the question: Which progress-related changes caused the finish date to move between two schedule updates, and to what extent is each change culpable? 

Half-step analyses have often been too time-consuming and expensive to be cost-effective. However, with the introduction of automated tools like Steelray Delay Analyzer, these analyses can be performed in seconds, so the economics have changed radically.
