President's Message

I would like to introduce myself as the President of the AACE Calgary-Chinook Section for this upcoming 2023-2024 term. I’m excited to welcome back all of our members and extend my gratitude for the wonderful opportunity to serve you in this capacity. It is both a privilege and an honor to step into the role of President for our section.

I wish to convey my appreciation to my fellow Board Members, whose on-going commitment, dedication and expertise uphold the standing of our section. Special recognition goes to the Board of Directors of 2022-2023 under the leadership of Ahmed Kamel Ghanem. Over the past year, they continued to give back to our wonderful community, ensuring that the section continued to provide value to our members. 

The Calgary-Chinook Section was founded in 1972, and like other organizations, our energy, engagement and vibrancy is thanks to our many members, volunteers, event attendees, and board members. We are so grateful for your contributions over the years and encourage you to continue to participate and give back to this wonderful community. Affiliation with AACEI, and in particular our local section, allows us to grow in the future and support all members professional and personal aspirations. 

We are excited and looking forward to the upcoming 2023-2024 term, as it offers many great opportunities for connection, learning and continued development.  We will continue to host Technical Meetings and Skills & Knowledge workshops, which are great platforms for sharing knowledge and networking with other industry professionals.
