The AACE Power Forum is a thought leadership community dedicated to AACE members that are active in the power sector. It serves as a think tank and a gathering space for cost engineering and project controls professionals within the power sector to work together to address common challenges, share experiences, solutions, resources, and lessons learned, and gain additional insights from experts in the field.

About this session’s topic
Essential Energy is currently undertaking an initiative to improve the estimation maturity across our complex network projects in collaboration with consultant partners Projectick. Part of this maturity improvement is the development and implementation of an Estimation Framework which is based on the AACEI Framework and Recommended Practices – particularly Recommended Practice RP 96R-18: Cost Estimate Classification System – as Applied in the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction for the Power Transmission Line Infrastructure Industries).
This session is an open discussion to share insights and lessons learned from the implementation of the AACEI Framework. AACEI members will be asked to share their experiences and learnings across areas including:
- Method and approach for development and deployment
- Organisational and cultural challenges
- Risks associated – in development, implementation, and post-implementation
- Change management
- Support networks
- Benefits to the organization (qualitative and quantitative)
