On behalf of the entire organizing committee, I'm absolutely thrilled to officially welcome you to the newly formed Arkansas Chapter of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International (AACEi)!

As many of you know, we've been working hard behind the scenes to bring this chapter to life, and I'm incredibly excited about the opportunity we now have to connect, learn, and grow together right here in Arkansas.

My name is Eric N. Costantino, and I have the privilege of serving as your Chairman. I initiated this chapter with the vision of creating a vibrant and supportive community for cost management professionals across our state. Whether you're a seasoned expert or new to the field, your participation and insights are invaluable.

This discussion thread is the first step in building that community. I encourage each of you to:

• Introduce yourself!
  • Tell us a little about your background, your experience in cost engineering or related fields, and what you hope to gain from being a part of the AACEi Arkansas Chapter.
• Share your interests.
  • Are there specific topics you're passionate about? Are there particular areas of cost management you'd like to see us focus on in future meetings, presentations, or workshops?
• Suggest ideas for our chapter.
  • What kind of activities or resources would you find most beneficial? Do you have ideas for potential speakers, networking events, or ways we can contribute to the local professional community?

My name is Michelle Luce.  I live in Greenbrier, AR, but I'm the Scheduling Manager for Turner's Memphis office.  I've worked in the construction industry for over 30 years and in scheduling for 23 years.  I'm passionate about helping project teams use their project schedules to identify and minimize risk, and to avoid conflict.  

Mike Trulove, Vice President of Operations at Sullivan Contracting Services in Bentonville, would make a great speaker or presenter.  He's a Lean aficionado with a dynamic personality.

Of course, I'm in the corner up here, but I wanted to include the entire state as a chapter so we can do events, conferences and presentations from one side to the other and include folks from Little Rock area to Jonesboro. 

Ironically, I just spoke with Mike Trulove on Linkedin! Since you mentioned this, I'll schedule something in person with him and see about collaborating on a topic or some topics since we are planning out our agendas for the year fairly soon once we hear back from HQ on some details.  

On a side note, I'd love to just meet with you and learn about your background as I just love learning about peoples scheduling experiences. Do you have some time this week and I can set up a teams if that works.
