It is. I love the central database so it will be an adjustment for everyone. I had IT help me with narrowing down the pros/cons and they are prepared to store everything on the cloud where we currently store other files. This is a company-level decision that I'm responsible for implementing, though I don't have the authority to modify it... It was either this or Procore scheduling.

Ok. Good luck with it. Are you current installations stand-alone or are you enterprised with a central database?
That makes all the difference and makes the higher cost worth it, in my opinion. Seems like it'll be a struggle to upgrade once you downgrade.
That was a big reason why I moved the last place away from Phoenix.

It boils down to budget and simplicity. This company doesn't want to pay for something if we aren't going to be using it to it's full capabilities so they are wanting to go backwards and revaluate. In a few years, when we hopefully have a process established, then the conversation will come back up.

Hi.
I'm curious why you're moving from P6 to Phoenix?
I moved the last company I was at from Phoenix to primavera (OPC) because of the limitations of Phoenix, one of the biggest for me being that it can't be networked limiting visibility and collaboration.

Hi everyone-
The organization I work for is considering transitioning (not fully) from P6 to Phoenix for project scheduling, and I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through a similar migration.
A few things I'm particularly interested in:
- What challenges did you encounter during the transition, and how did you address them?
- What was your strategy for training team members on the new platform?
- Were there any features or workflows you had to adjust to accommodate software differences?
- Looking back, what would you do differently to make the transition smoother?
Any insights, lessons learned, or advice would be greatly appreciated. Whether your transition went smoothly or had some bumps along the way, I'd love to hear about your experience. This doesn't have to be strictly a P6 or Phoenix software migration experience. I'm open to hearing all ideas.
If you'd like to private message me to discuss this, that is fine as well-
Thanks in advance!
