SITE TOUR: ADAMS NEUROSCIENCES CENTER AND BED TOWER PROJECT AT THE SANT RAPHAEL CAMPUS
Turner Construction is providing a tour of this $838 million, 505k square foot building project that includes two new patient facilities focusing on innovation in the neurosciences. It will be the largest project of its kind in state history and will provide enhanced access to state-of-the-art care for patients. The project will feature 201 inpatient beds and provide a unique setting for patients seeking innovative care from movement disorders to neuro-regeneration.

Currently in construction, with turnover of each tower expected in mid and late 2026, the onsite tour will allow you to see exterior façade and interior rough construction of the first tower and early phases of site excavation, foundations and structural steel of the second.  Come and learn about the plan, process, and project controls in place.  A dinner presentation by Turner Construction will be provided prior to the tour.

The Saint Raphael Campus is the site of the former Hospital of Saint Raphael, founded by the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in 1907.  During its century plus of service to the New Haven community, the hospital grew from its original 12 beds to become a 511- bed community teaching hospital.  In the 1950s, Saint Raphael's established its leadership role in cancer and cardiac care by opening southern New England's first radiation therapy center and becoming one of the first New England community hospitals to perform open heart surgery.  In September 2012, Yale New Haven Hospital acquired the Hospital of Saint Raphael, forming a single, 1,541-bed dual-campus hospital in New Haven.
