The scope of the Asset Planning and Management Subcommittee encompasses strategic asset management, including identifying asset requirements through asset performance assessment. The Subcommittee will support the development of procedures and processes related to business planning related to asset development and management – from planning, acquisition, development, and operations, including asset modification, demolition, and disposal.

An important function of a subcommittee is the development of AACE recommended practices (RPs). These are peer-reviewed documents (usually < 10 pages) that define the specifics of particular methods or procedures, often derived from past papers and articles. Click here to learn more about the RP Development Guidelines and Process.
