Omkar has overall 8 years of experience in the construction industry working on a diverse range of projects in both the Public and Private Sectors with Project Management, Estimation, and Cost Management. His experience is in the construction industry across multiple segments including Roads, Airports, Education, Industrial, Oil, Gas, Chemical, Renewable Energy and Offshore LNG and Wind projects.
He has a successful track record of analyzing drawings, specifications, proposals, and contractual documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for projects ranging $10M-$1.5B. With wide variety of projects, Omkar worked on as cost estimator and project engineer with general contractors and EPC contractors has helped his progression as a Cost Manager.
His knowledge of Engineering, Project and Cost management enables him to lead and communicate with the project team through all phases of pre-contract and post-contract. His experience in diverse sectors also enables Omkar to optimize estimates through cost saving opportunities and value engineering for our clients. His critical thinking capabilities allow him to review proposals to find gaps/overlaps in estimates.
Omkar has initiated and perfected number of new tools to ease and simplify the cost management processes for clients including Power BI tools, benchmarking tools and value engineering and Risk Management quantification and sensitivity mechanisms. His data analysis skills and strategic and innovative thinking help him lead initiatives that help clients in making precise decisions.
