Where are you from, and where did you go to school?
I grew up in Saudi Arabia. I completed my engineering education and began my career in the construction industry. My academic training built a strong technical foundation that I’ve applied to complex MEP systems in mega projects across multiple sectors.
What’s something about you (a fun fact) that not many people know?
I love traveling and exploring new places. Experiencing different cultures and the built environments keeps me curious and often gives me a fresh perspective on how projects shape communities.
Where do you work?
I am based in Saudi Arabia and work as a MEP cost consultant, having transitioned from a contractor role to consultancy. Over the years, I have worked on large-scale mega projects, gaining hands-on experience in execution, project controls, and cost management. Currently, I support clients with project payments, cost oversight, and dispute-related matters to ensure projects run smoothly. Outside of work, I enjoy exploring how complex systems work and connecting with people from diverse professional backgrounds.
What do you love most about your job?
What I enjoy most is helping projects stay on track and ensuring that every financial and technical decision contributes to successful outcomes. I like being involved in problem-solving across cost, schedule, and execution, and seeing how my work helps clients navigate complex challenges efficiently.
Do you have a project story to share?
One project that stands out is working on the Riyadh metro rail, which was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the world’s longest fully driverless metro network. The project involved tight schedules, complex MEP and building systems, and rigorous cost and project controls. Ensuring timely delivery while managing multiple stakeholders and large-scale execution challenges was a defining experience that reinforced the importance of structured planning, coordination, and proactive problem-solving on mega projects.
What are your future goals and aspirations for your career? Did someone inspire you to be on this career path?
My goal is to continue advancing in project management and project controls, leveraging my MEP expertise to improve efficiency, cost performance, and quality in mega projects. Pursuing CCP certification is an important step toward becoming a recognized project controls professional. I’ve been inspired by mentors who demonstrated how technical knowledge and structured project management can drive success in large-scale construction projects.
What is the biggest career challenge you’ve had to overcome? What’s been your most memorable moment?
Managing multidisciplinary coordination on mega projects with tight timelines and high-performance expectations has been a significant challenge. A memorable moment was contributing to the Riyadh metro project, where precision and collaboration were critical to achieving world-class results.
Why did you join AACE International?
