Where are you from and where did you study?
I am from Kolwezi, in the Lualaba province of the Democratic Republic of Congo. I earned my Industrial Civil Engineering degree from the University of Lubumbashi (UNILU – ESII) in 2017. I am currently pursuing an MBA at Guglielmo Marconi University and have recently completed international certifications, including ISO 9001:2015 and Primavera P6.
What is a fun fact about you?
As the director of engineering, I oversee and coordinate more than 500 people across multiple major projects. This reflects the scale and diversity of my responsibilities.
Where do you work?
I am the director of engineering at NAISA Engineering Sarl, managing large public and private infrastructure projects. I have also worked on strategic projects for Mutanda Mining (MUMI), part of the international Glencore group; Kamoa Copper S.A., part of Ivanhoe Mines; and TFM (Tenke Fungurume Mining), a CMOC company.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
I enjoy the balance between technical rigor and strategic vision: turning complex projects into tangible achievements that have à lasting impact on communities and the mining industry.
Do you have a project story to share?
A memorable moment was delivering the Kolwezi Airport Fire Station project, at a national airport soon to become international, located in the world’s cobalt capital. The project was inaugurated by the President of the Democratic Republic of Congo, a national recognition of our work.
What are your future career goals and aspirations?
In the short term, I aim to leverage my certifications and MBA to secure strategic roles in multinational construction and mining companies. In the long term, my ambition is to become a reference in cost engineering and project controls in Africa and worldwide, working on major international projects.

I joined AACE to strengthen my international credibility, learn from domain experts, and share my experiences within the African context.

What advice would you give to someone entering this field?
Invest in continuous learning and international certifications. Mastering planning and control tools, combined with strategic vision, is the key to success.
