Too often has it been seen that the project schedule has either been developed in a silo or was only used to satisfy contractual requirements. The implementation and utilization of the schedule and scheduling team by all members throughout the project’s lifecycle is now more important than ever in the successful delivery of a project and program. For many companies and organizations, this means breaking down silo’s and pre-existent barriers to collaborate, coordinate, and address issues to achieve a common goal. This discussion will demonstrate the value of engaging and integrating the scheduling department across the organization and project team silos. We will discuss how engaging stakeholders and establishing open communication across the team will help to minimize discrepancies & miss-understanding. We will also talk about how fostering project team trust and collaboration will help to obtain buy-in from all project teams & members in utilizing the schedule.
