Section News
Top of the morning Houston Gulf Coast Chapter,
Welcome all to the September edition of the AACE Gulf Coast Section newsletter. I am excited to announce our first technical meeting for the 2024/2025 year and hope you will join us for on Tuesday, September 10 at Guadalajara’s Memorial City. The topic will be “Top 10 Gaps in Project Controls” presented by Dan Joyce. Dan has over 35 years of experience in project controls, certified (through AACE) Cost Professional & certified (through PMI) Project management Professional, and an accompanying MBA & degree in Engineering Management. As a matter of fact, he gives me a run for my money, so I am looking forward to healthy debate and education.
We are looking forward to seeing everyone. Join us for a cocktail or two (either alcoholic or non) at Guadalajara’s Memorial City location.
There will be a $30 fee to attend in person for members and non-members. It will be a great event to catch up with colleagues, find out how their plans for 2023 are going and meet new people. If you have been interested in becoming a member, feel free to ask us about the benefits. If you have friends in the industry, please invite them to the meeting. We need to continue to stay involved with our industry and contribute to the future of project controls.
If you have colleagues, who are AACEi members and they are not getting these newsletters, please let me know (dathan.beasley@turntown.com). It could be as simple as they have not selected the right section in their AACE profile.
Looking forward to y’all joining us.
Thank You,
Dathan Beasley
AACE HGCS President
