Our Monthly Technical Meeting this month is on Nov. 11th. We have an excellent lineup of speakers. You DO NOT want to miss this presentation.

“The Human Side of Cost Management: Lessons Beyond the Numbers”

In the world of cost management, precision and data are critical – but the true success of a project often depends on the people behind the numbers. In this session, Karandeep will flip the traditional presentation format by engaging attendees in a “reverse-style” discussion. Rather than delivering a lecture, he will invite participants to share their own stories, insights, and lessons learned on the human factors that shape successful project outcomes.

From stakeholder alignment to communication and collaboration, this interactive dialogue will explore how soft skills and professional judgment complement technical expertise. Together, attendees and speaker will highlight how fostering trust, transparency, and teamwork leads to better decision-making, improved project performance, and stronger client relationships.

Karandeep Singh (BS, MEM) is a Project Analyst at Turner & Townsend supporting the Houston Real Estate team. As part of the Graduate Development Program, he has gained experience across project management, cost estimating, and procurement functions, contributing to a range of real estate projects within the oil & gas and hospitality sectors.

He brings a strong foundation in operations, cost management, and process improvement through prior experience across the warehousing and biopharmaceutical industries. Karandeep holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Rutgers University and recently earned his Master of Engineering Management at Penn State University.
