I recently passed the Certified Cost Professional-CCP examination by AACE and aiming to follow up with PMP next.

Glancing over the subjects, it looks like there seems to be quite an overlap between the CCP and PMP.

Anyone here got CCP first and moved onto PMP in a short timeframe. Curious to hear your experience

Congratulations for passing you CCP Exam. Well done.

Yes, there are some "overlap" similarities between CCP Exam and PMP Exam. There are many, if not all, the content of all (10) knowledge areas that could overlap with CCP content whether it is related to cost management, schedule management, scope management, risk management, procurement management, stakeholders management, etc.

I prefer to pass PMP first then CCP, because, PMP is included more than topic, PMP exam is more difficult than CCP. PMP has 200 questions or 175 and time is around 4 hours while CCP has 120 question almost mathmatical questions has 5 hours so enough to finish & review
