AACE (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering) International was founded in 1956 and today has more than 9 000 members in 100 countries. It is a non-profit professional association whose sections connect professionals and resources from various regions around the world. The members include total cost management professionals, e.g., in the following areas: cost engineering, cost estimating, planning and scheduling, decision and risk management, project management, project control, cost/schedule control, earned value management, claims, and more. AACE International has been certifying people in the aforementioned fields since 1976.
