    Posted 12-17-2025 04:15 AM

    Hello everyone,

My name is Olaoluwa Gbotoso, a project planning and controls professional based in the Netherlands. I have extensive experience in construction and EPC projects, working with Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI, and schedule health analysis.

I'm keen to connect with fellow AACE members in the Netherlands to exchange insights, learn from local best practices, and build professional relationships within the planning, scheduling, and project controls community.

I look forward to connecting and engaging with you all.

    Kind regards,
    Olaoluwa Gbotoso

    Hello Olaoluwa,

I am Anton van der Steege, came to the Netherlands from South Africa in 2007 and am working for Fluor for almost 22 years. I am a member of AACE International but am also on the board of DACE (Dutch Association of Cost Engineers). This is a local association that was connected to AACE International through the global ICEC (International Cost Engineering Council). I represent DACE in ICEC and am currently the Region 2 director for ICEC Europe.

I understand that DACE is largely Dutch and that can be a challenge for non-Dutch people. Nevertheless, there is often a willingness to accommodate people in English as appropriate. There is also a chapter for AACE Int. Region 9 (Europe) and a sub-section for the Netherlands (netherlands@aacei.org) currently headed up by Abhoy Ganguli and supported by Rens van Arkel. We have had meetings with them to see how we can cooperate.

If you need any further information on any of this, please let me know. Feel free to also attend one of the DACE quarterly meetings held in Soest, the Netherlands (3 Presentations between 15:00 and 17:00 followed by drinks and snacks). Some presentations are in English, and we try to make at least one meeting per year completely in English. It would be good to connect at any event for one of the organizations since our purpose is to network with peers.

Best regards and good wishes for the holidays.

    Anton
