  • 1.  Building Construction and O&M Cost Data - Sources?

    Posted 06-29-2019 05:53 PM
What are some of the data sources many of you rely on when preparing definitive cost estimates?

I know suppliers, vendors and contractors can be called, but what about various pre-published cost data.

This is more toward building construction and operations.

Also what would consider as a level of reliability or accuracy of the data.

Better put, how effective would you see pre-published cost data as protection against risk of over or under estimating the project cost.

    Thx for your feedback.

I saw your post a couple days ago but haven't had a chance to get on here. What you are asking is tough for the construction industry. The data out there is very specific and very costly. I started looking 3 years ago and decided to just go out on my own and start building the database. Obviously there are some basic factors that impact the overall cost to be considered that impact cost greatly. It'd be fun to collaborate sometime. Hit me up if you are interested.
