The PPEV Subcommittee is looking for individuals interested in developing technical papers for the 2027 AACE Conference & Expo. With abstracts for technical papers due 8/31/26, we encourage members to begin considering potential submissions within the areas of productivity, performance, and earned value.
For those interested in writing a paper but still looking for a topic, the PPEV Subcommittee has identified several suggested topics that would be valuable additions to the 2027 program:
- · Single Point Adjustments. The good, the bad, and the ugly.
- · Can resubmit AI for system description reviews. With an update of course.
- · Over Target Baseline (OTB) and Over Target Schedule OTS – What are they, including case studies
- · Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) – Different then WBS?
- · RBS (risk) – Different then WBS?
- · RBS (Resource) or OBS – Different then WBS?
- · The pros and Cons of the level of control accounts.
- · Why do we need work authorizations (and at what level do they work)?
- · Management of Authorized Unpriced Work.
- · Funding, Budget, and Earned Value
- · Month-end process. How to maintain cost and schedule integration.
- · Management Reserve Trending and the EAC
- · SM trending and the EAC.
- · Effective change control lessons learned
If you are interested in writing a technical paper or have questions, please contact myself or ppev@aacei.org and we can point you in the right direction. We are looking forward to hearing from you!
