Instructor: James "Jimmy" K. Cravens
Jimmy is an experienced project control professional with a particular skill in the implementation of project management, cost control systems and procedures. Specific experiences include participation in all levels of the project control process with both home office and worldwide field assignments.
Jimmy has been involved in completing a comprehensive review of project control process for a petrochemical company with multiple projects in execution. He implemented a project governance and control process on behalf of the project lender for a significant new food processing facility. The overall program included weekly status review, monthly cost and schedule forecasting as well as risk management, expenditure validation and cash flow monitoring. Jimmy has developed and facilitated more than twenty-five project control training curriculums. These sessions have ranged from one single topic focused efforts to weeklong “bootcamp” efforts encompassing a full range of project control related topics. Jimmy is an accomplished training professional with responsibility for delivery of project management and project controls sessions on a routine basis.
Jimmy holds a B.A. from Southern Benedictine College and is currently a member of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE International) and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (STS).
