Hello all! I hope everyone has had a fantastic summer. It's now time for us to start engaging in advancing data analytics and grow this incredible platform. With this said, we will be having our first meeting, which will be held during the week of the 23rd of September. I am working with HQ to determine how we best organize the (virtual) meeting, so stay tuned; more information will follow. I have also attached the slide deck from our DSAA Subcommittee meeting that was held at the 2024 ConEx.

As we wait for my next communication, here are some teaser questions to spark interest in using data analytics within project controls. What are your thoughts?

    1. How can data analytics help predict project risks before they become issues?
    2. Are you leveraging data to improve the accuracy of your project forecasts?
    3. What hidden trends in your project data could lead to cost savings or improved performance?
    4. How can real-time data analytics enhance decision-making in your project controls process?
    5. Could advanced analytics be the key to unlocking better schedule performance and risk management?
    6. What insights are you missing by not using data analytics to monitor project progress?
    7. How can machine learning models improve cost predictability and reduce margin loss in your projects?
    8. Is your project data helping you make proactive decisions or only reacting to problems after they occur?
    9. What role does data play in optimizing resource allocation and project planning?
    10. How can predictive analytics transform the way you manage scope changes and project adjustments?

Please partner with us this following year as we explore the endless possibilities and opportunities that are currently available.

How can data analysis help predict project risks before they become problems?

With real-time data analysis (IoT), it is possible to identify potential problems and risks. This allows project teams to take preventative measures before problems become critical.

How can real-time data analysis improve decision-making in your project control process?

Analyzing data in real time allows you to predict in advance the need to adopt corrective measures. For example, controlling project supply using software makes it much easier to forecast the volume of raw materials needed, plan transportation logistics, etc.

    Reducing failures
The use of real-time analysis tools concentrates all central information on a single platform. This considerably speeds up processes and also reduces the chances of failures occurring, not least because of the greater predictability of events.

    Greater efficiency
Finally, having key data about your company at your fingertips at any time greatly increases the dynamism and efficiency of decision-making. And in a market that also changes in real time, making important decisions quickly can mean the difference between success and failure.
