Dear People,
I've been testing something for the last couple of weeks that I think changes how site diaries get filled out, and I wanted to share it before everyone else catches on.

| Automate Your Site Diary with Claude AI Dispatch: Voice-to-Database |
| This video walks through Claude AI's Dispatch feature and how construction teams can use it to log site activity by voice, straight into Notion or Airtable, while still walking the job. |

Most site diaries get written twice. Once in your head while you're walking the job, and once again at the end of the day when you finally sit down and try to remember what actually happened. That second version is always worse than the first. Details get flattened, exact numbers get rounded, and half the context is gone by 6pm.
So I set up a workflow using Dispatch, a new feature Anthropic shipped for Claude, to skip the second version entirely. Dispatch basically turns your phone into a remote trigger for Claude, you send it a message, by text or by voice, and it carries out the task on a connected desktop or database instead of you having to sit down and do it yourself.
Here's what it does in my setup. I pair my phone to Claude Desktop using Dispatch, and connect that to our project database in Notion (you can also do it in any online database or local folder). While I'm walking the site, I just talk. Progress on a pour, today's weather, crew counts on each trade. Claude transcribes it and writes it straight into the database, into the right fields, while I'm still standing there.
What do you think about this?
