President's Message

Welcome back to all our section members and a special greeting to new members and guests.

I am Jordan Beckel, President of the AACE Calgary-Chinook Section for the 2024-2025 term.

First, I would like to thank Stephanie Kers for her great leadership in the previous term. I hope to carry her enthusiasm and passion for this section into the upcoming term.

The AACE Chinook-Calgary Board of Directors have great plans for this upcoming year with ambitious goals for adding additional value to the section.

As always, the underpinning of this section is our Technical Dinner Meetings along with offering growth platforms via Skills & Knowledge workshops, mentorship programs, student outreach and certification study groups.   

We are excited to add a “section hub” to our platform this year. The hub is located at C-SPACE, in Marda Loop. The board and I believe CSPACE will be a nurturing force to our sections creativity and community, while being centrally located in the heart of Calgary.

The Calgary-Chinook Section was founded in 1972, and like other non-profit organizations, we rely on volunteers to run the board and present learnings on their experience and knowledge .
