EVM Monthly Meetings

  • 1.  EVM Monthly Meetings

    Fellow EVM Leads,

    I would like to set up a 30 minute monthly happy half-hour meeting to get our team together and discuss what is going on in the EVM subcommittee, marketplace, and world!  I would like to suggest later afternoon (EST) on Tuesdays, but would like to see if anyone had any thoughts on this.  I would like to open the meeting up to any EVM practitioners to increase the viability of the EVM subcommittee.  Let me know what days / times work for you.  You can send me an email (mmarcell@k2consulting.com) if you wish.  Eventually, I will need to get everyone's email to send out the Teams notification.

    Lets try to get this running in March!

    Hi Zahra,

     

    The Earned Value Professional (EVP) is the certification you should pursue.  The study materials on the AACE site give you a good starting point for what to deep dive into and there are a number of RPs that are EVM related.

     

    Also check out College of Performance Management (mycpm.org) for EVM reference material.

    Good morning.

    I am very much interested in being involved in the meeting. I am available most afternoons. My plan is to get my EVP certification.

    My background; I have 21 years of EVM experience from working at Rockwell Collins / Collins Aerospace as a senior progam, planning and control analyst on multiple projects types and government contracts. I have been audited on all 32 criteria.

    I now work for Leonardo DRS and they are just starting to implement EVM.

    I'm in. I have been working on a post about non-labor resources being placed on separate activities from labor but I keep getting distracted. It may be a good topic for a call. I'll work on finishing my post before the meeting.

    Sounds great.  That us an issue as mixing Elements Of Costs (EOC) can make challenges for validating performance and mapping actuals.

    Hello team,

    For all that I do not have an email address for, please add to you calendar a monthly reoccurring meeting starting Tuesday March 19th at 5 PM EST.  I would go later, but there are folks internationally that I have to consider.   Please let me know if there are any concerns on the timing.  These are not mandatory, but we would love to have a quorum to discuss objectives of the subcommittee, challenges in the partitioner space, emerging ideas and technologies, up and coming RP / papers, and other topics as they arise.

    Any interest in including the College of Performance Management (CPM) membership in one of these monthly meetings?  Would be a good opportunity to expand the networking opportunities with members of another organization dedicated to promoting and educating project performance.
